Shannon Elizabeth was a familiar face among American Pie fans but where is she now? Anybody?
Firstly, let me remind you who she played in the films – she was Nadia, the foreign exchange student and love interest of main character, Jim Levenstein.
She, alongside the other actors became household names – if only for a short while – and one scene in particular most people will remember her for, is when she was accidentally caught stripping on webcam.
But since the films, what has she been up to? Well, she was in horror-comedy classic Scary Movie and later Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
She then turned her attention to TV appearing in That 70s Show and Punk’d – with her ex-husband, writer and director, Joseph D. Reitman.
Her voice was featured in the 2004 video game James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing.
In 2008, and divorced from Joseph, Shannon appeared on US show Dancing with The Stars and hooked up with dancer Derek Hough.
To add to her film, television, voice-work and reality show career, she was also seen starring in the music video for Chris Brown’s Next to You.
She also had a cameo role in 2012’s American Reunion.
But her ‘second career’, as she describes it, is poker. In 2006, Shannon was referred to as ‘one of the leading celebrity poker players’ and competed in Las Vegas a number of times.
Shannon – now 44 – is also a keen animal activist, environmentalist and vegan – and fronted a campaign encouraging people to adopt a turkey, instead of eating it during Thanksgiving.
Shannon is reportedly dating music producer Russell Simmons.
So she has actually been quite busy, yet she’s still kind of known as Nadia, am I right?
Was so honored to work with the incredibly strong, honest & great visionary director @jennpagefilmmaker recently in LA. So excited to see her cut our project together & showcase her baby. Thank you to the entire cast & crew for all of your hard work & inspiration. Hope to work with you all again soon. #playingwithbeethoven #feature #love
Posting on Instagram, Shannon has been seen as recently as November, reuniting with some of the cast of the American Pie franchise, which is rather nice.
So what happened to the other women in the films?
Well, surely the most successful of the group is Alison Hannigan – AKA Michelle, who ‘one time at band camp’ taught Jim all he needed to know about the birds and the bees.
She has gone on to play numerous parts on both stage and in film with her most notable roles surely being as Lily Aldrin on the hugely successful and long running show How I Met Your Mother and Willow Rosenberg in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
We’ve all seen Tara Reid – aka Vicky – in and out of the news.
She has made a few films since, including, yep, Sharknado, and went on to reprise the role in four sequels (I didn’t even know there were four).
Tara also went in the UK Celebrity Big Brother house and became friends with Irish twins and X Factor rejects, Jedward – which nobody was expecting.

And then Mena Suvari, who played Heather.
In the same year as her role in American Pie, Mena also experienced the highlight of her acting career, earning a BAFTA nomination for her performance as Angela Hayes opposite Kevin Spacey in American Beauty.
Since then she’s become a model for Lancôme cosmetics and a long-time activist for the the African Medical and Research Foundation.
