The Philadelphia Eagles claimed their first ever Super Bowl on a historic night at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Labelled as underdogs heading into Sunday’s postseason finale, Philadelphia were made to work hard by Tom Brady’s New England Patriots team.

The Eagles, who last won an NFL Championship in 1960, led for most of the game but the Patriots took the lead for the first time with less than ten minutes remaining in the final quarter.

With his side trailing by just a single point, 32-33, quarterback Nick Foles found Zach Ertz who dived into the end zone to take the score to 38-33 with a touchdown confirmed after review.

The pivotal moment came shortly after with Brandon Graham sacking Brady as the Eagles turned over possession with little over two minutes remaining.

Trailing 41-33 with just 65 seconds remaining the challenge was set. Brady needed to march the Pats downfield for a late touchdown and it needed a two-point conversion.

It proved a task too far for the only man you would turn to in such a spot, and the game would finish with the eight point deficit intact.

The win for Philadelphia denied veteran Patriots QB Brady his own slice of history, remaining tied with Charles Haley on five championship titles as a player.
